The New Dorp Central Cougars will be playing at home against the Curtis Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Curtis took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on New Dorp, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, New Dorp was able to grind out a solid victory over Wagner, taking the game 28-20.
Meanwhile, Curtis was beaten by Erasmus Hall 40-13 on Friday. Curtis has struggled against Erasmus Hall recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Curtis got a solid performance out of Chauncey Mims, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Mims was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.
New Dorp's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Curtis, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
