Softball Recap: Beyer Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Beyer entered their tilt with Livingston on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Wolves. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two runs.

Jordyn Lish spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Destiny Pitts was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Beyer hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Livingston struck out ten times.

Beyer pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Livingston, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7.
