The Jackson-Milton Bluejays were the 23-20 winner over the Mineral Ridge Rams when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. Jackson-Milton was dealt a 35-6 loss at the hands of Mineral Ridge on Friday. Jackson-Milton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Ian Erb was a one-man wrecking crew for Mineral Ridge as he rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.
Jackson-Milton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Mineral Ridge, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.
Jackson-Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mineral Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Rootstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rootstown is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
