The Harvester Christian Academy Hawks can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Flint River Academy at home to the tune of 80-46. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-24.
Jarrett Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bryson Jatta, who scored 16 points.
Flint River Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cale Cartwright, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Chaney, who scored 15 points.
Flint River Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Harvester Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Flint River Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvester Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Heritage Preparatory is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Flint River Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Lafayette Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
