Viewmont and Alta are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Vikings will welcome the Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Viewmont took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Bountiful with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Vikings have won four games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

London Dickerson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ricki Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Marlee Moser was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Viewmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Alta got the win against Woods Cross on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.
Alta also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Danica Doyle gave up four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, Taylor Johnson was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brielle Watson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Alta now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Viewmont, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Viewmont hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Alta struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Viewmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Alta when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 13-11. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
