After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mineral Ridge, Lowellville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the McKinley Trojans. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Lowellville's got stronger as the match went on, holding McKinley to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21, 25-16.
Lowellville can attribute much of their success to Giana Morales, who had ten digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Morales a new career-high.
Morales wasn't the only good server: Lowellville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.
