The Mount Calvary Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the New Life Christian Academy Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mount Calvary Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Raleigh Christian Academy 31-28. The victory was just what Mount Calvary Christian needed coming off of a 57-11 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against DASH by a score of 60-47.
It was another big night for Ty'lik Taylor, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamir Loftin, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Mount Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for New Life Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
