The Leipsic Vikings's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-39 victory over Bluffton. The win was just what Leipsic needed coming off of a 58-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Bluffton still got an impressive performance from Ayla Grandey, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashley Fleece, who scored five points.
Leipsic's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7. As for Bluffton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leipsic will challenge Allen East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Allen East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Leipsic in Ohio (Allen East is ranked 171st, while Leipsic is ranked 421st). As for Bluffton, they will head out on the road to challenge Pandora-Gilboa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
