Doddridge County was led to victory by Payton Trent and Kimberly Adams. Trent scored 18 points along with 4 steals, while Adams dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Trent has scored at least 25% of Doddridge County's points. Aleigh Cheeseman was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Doddridge County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
