Bloom-Carroll is still undefeated this season after their contest against Tri-Valley on Saturday, but Tri-Valley came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bulldogs came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Scotties. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Bloom-Carroll saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Grefe, who went 1-for-5 with one home run. Another was Ady Luke, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Grefe wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bloom-Carroll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Bloom-Carroll pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tri-Valley, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloom-Carroll will take on Amanda-Clearcreek at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-Valley, they will challenge River View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
