Plainfield East won the last time they faced Romeoville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bengals came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 2-0.

Plainfield East easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Plainfield East's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Romeoville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Plainfield East will be playing at home against Lincoln-Way Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Romeoville, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Cristo Rey St. Martin on the 19th.
