The San Fernando Tigers were the 69-50 winner over the Reseda Regents when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. San Fernando's tough 58-38 loss to Reseda on Friday might stick with them for a while. San Fernando just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the loss, San Fernando saw an underclassman step up: Christopher Bynum scored 11 points. The matchup was Bynum 's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Gavin Reyes was another key contributor, scoring six points.
San Fernando has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Reseda, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Fernando will take on Sylmar at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sylmar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Reseda, they will head out on the road to face off against Canoga Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
