The Leadore Mustangs lost against the Salmon Savages back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Leadore took a 66-47 bruising from the Savages. Leadore has not had much luck with the Savages recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Leadore still got an impressive performance from Mason Herbst, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Herbst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jared Ramsey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Leadore has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Salmon, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Leadore will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lima is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Salmon, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
