Even though the Pitman Panthers have not done well against the Penns Grove Red Devils recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pitman simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Penns Grove 69-41 on the road. For Pitman, this counts as revenge for the 59-43 loss Penns Grove walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.
Roman Gipson and Giomar Conrad certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Gipson scored 13 points, while Conrad scored 12 points along with three steals.
Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Penns Grove, their defeat was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Pitman will head out on the road to face off against Burlington City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Penns Grove will be home for the holidays to greet Lindenwold at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
