Mendocino is 10-0 against Anderson Valley since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mendocino Cardinals on the road again and play against the Anderson Valley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Mendocino came up short against Rio Lindo Adventist and fell 56-48.
Meanwhile, Anderson Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Point Arena 77-15. Anderson Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-7.
Mendocino has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Anderson Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Mendocino was able to grind out a solid win over Anderson Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 52-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendocino since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
