Noble hasn't had much luck against Thornton Academy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. Noble's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Thornton Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Noble will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Cheverus, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Stags 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carl Gregoire made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That hit marked the first that he has got this season.
Gregoire wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Filiponne, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was Filiponne's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Thornton Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonny Eagle on Thursday, taking the game 7-2. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Ben Indorf looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Django Tachibana was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Jacob Fish was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Thornton Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0-1. As for Noble, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.
Noble couldn't quite get it done against Thornton Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
