Ida Baker has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons at TBD on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ida Baker had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their matchup at home on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 72-39 win over North Fort Myers. Ida Baker's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Charlotte entered their tilt with Cape Coral with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Charlotte blew past Cape Coral, posting a 72-25 win at home. Given Charlotte's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Cape Coral is ranked 456th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
