Softball Recap: Greenbrier Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

With a playoff win on the line, Greenbrier Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They blew past the Tidewater Academy Warriors 16-2. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won 19 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Moran was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Greenbrier Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive contests.

Greenbrier Christian Academy's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Tidewater Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier Christian Academy will face off against Fuqua at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tidewater Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
