The McCluer North Stars can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-19 win over Parkway South on the road. While fans of McCluer North might be used to big wins, the 38-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Despite the loss, Parkway South had strong showings from Ryan Shanfeld, who scored four points, and Jacob Sidwell, who scored two points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Parkway South struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
McCluer North's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Parkway South, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCluer North will take on Hazelwood West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully McCluer North is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Missouri (they are ranked 113th, while Hazelwood West is ranked 401st). As for Parkway South, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lindbergh at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Lindberghpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Parkway South in Missouri (Lindbergh is ranked 28th, while Parkway South is ranked 319th).
