Ethan Mangrum Goes Supernova in Sand Creek Victory
Ethan Mangrum's big game helped extend Sand Creek's winning streak to six on Friday. Gateway had no answer to Mangrum as he rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. Mangrum's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Mathias Martinez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Grand Junction to the win on Thursday. Martinez rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Grand Junction's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Martinez and Grand Junction will face off against Cheyenne Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
