St. John's Catholic Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 64-39 loss to Shabach Christian Academy Blue might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, St. John's Catholic Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Shabach Christian Academy Blue is ranked 22nd).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Isabella Wilson, who scored 14 points. Cayenne Pigeon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, John Carroll's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 36-24 to Mount de Sales Academy.
St. John's Catholic Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for John Carroll, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
St. John's Catholic Prep came up short against John Carroll in their previous meeting back in January, falling 53-42. Can St. John's Catholic Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
