After flying high against the Wishkah Valley Loggers on Friday, Thorp came back down to earth. Thorp was the victim of a rough 53-27 loss at the hands of Crescent on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Thorp can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Crescent is ranked 99th).
Lukas Love continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crescent, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. Love has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Conner Bauers, who scored 11 points.
Thorp's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Crescent, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Concrete the next time they take the court. Thorp will head out to face Concrete at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Crescent will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
