Heritage is 0-10 against ThunderRidge since January of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Heritage Eagles will be playing at home against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Heritage was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-61 to Chaparral. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Wolverines are ranked third).

Despite the loss, Heritage got top-tier performance from Trystan Rangel, who went 8 of 20 to rack up 20 points and six assists. The matchup was Rangel's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Chaney, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, ThunderRidge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over the Titans.
Heritage better keep an eye on Drew Paine. He was instrumental in ThunderRidge's win, putting up 22 points. Paine is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kael Carney, who posted 14 points.
Heritage now has a losing record at 9-10. As for ThunderRidge, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Heritage hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63 points per game. However, it's not like ThunderRidge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Heritage ended up a good deal behind ThunderRidge in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 59-40. Will Heritage have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
