Ignite Athletics' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxton Stricklin, who scored 14 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stricklin has scored all season. Trevor Bailey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Ignite Athletics' defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for New Life Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Ignite Athletics will head out on the road to face off against Rose Hill Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Life Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Varsity Opponent at 12:30 p.m. on February 10th. Varsity Opponent is coming into the game with 28 straight losses on the road, meaning New Life Christian Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
