Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Windermere Wolverines walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 68-37 victory over the Bears on the road. Winning may never get old, but Windermere sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Despite the defeat, Cypress Creek saw an underclassman step up: Kevin Edou scored ten points along with five rebounds. Kason Beezer was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Windermere has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Cypress Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
Windermere will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Windermere knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Olympia likes a good challenge. Cypress Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
