The Mercer County Golden Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Hall Red Devils  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
Mercer County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14  runs  on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Rockridge  on Thursday. They took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mercer County got a good showing from  Nathan Matlick, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Matlick has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Mercer County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jacob Kenney, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  double. Another  was  Tannen Whitehall, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and one  run.
 Hall came out on top against Sterling  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Red Devils took their   match against the Golden Warriors   7-2. The  victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Golden Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
 Hall's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mercer County, their  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-7.
