Baseball Recap: Woods Cross Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Woods Cross had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Bountiful RedHawks. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Tyson Devore looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Woods Cross got a massive performance out of Max Moffat, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Thomas Pattison, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Woods Cross' record is now 16-9. As for Bountiful, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.

Woods Cross wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Box Elder on the 9th. As for Bountiful, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-4 defeat against Skyline on the 9th.
