Basketball Recap: Tohatchi Skates Past Zuni with Ease

Tohatchi won the last time they faced Zuni and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tohatchi Cougars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Zuni Thunderbirds 57-17. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Tohatchi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points over those games. Zuni's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-22.

Tohatchi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Zuni, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Thunderbirds duke it out with the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Thoreau will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Zuni surely won't give up without a fight.
