The Arlington Colts and the Highland Park Scots squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Arlington Colts had to settle for second. Arlington was dealt a 45-17 loss at the hands of Highland Park. Arlington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-3.
Arlington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Robertson, who gained 112 total yards and a touchdown. Drelon Burton was another key contributor, rushing for 101 yards.
Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Highland Park, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Highland Park will square off against McKinney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinney is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
