Even though the Lakeview Bulldogs have not done well against the South Range Raiders recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Lakeview snuck past South Range with a 36-32 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lakeview.
Lakeview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mackenzie Stowe, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Haynie, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Lakeview's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for South Range, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview will square off against Poland Seminary at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Poland Seminary presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakeview in Ohio (Poland Seminary is ranked 170th, while Lakeview is ranked 614th). As for South Range, they will head out on the road to face off against Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
