Pahrump Valley won against Chaparral on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Trojans beat the Cowboys by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. On the hitting side, Pahrump Valley got a massive performance out of Kayne Horibe, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidyn Cratty, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Pahrump Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win (which was Pahrump Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 20-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Chaparral, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
