Skowhegan won the last time they faced Brunswick, and things went their way on Friday, too. Skowhegan came out on top in a nail-biter against Brunswick, sneaking past 29-26. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Skowhegan's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Brunswick came up with 20 to make it 21-20 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Skowhegan in the second half, holding Brunswick to a measly 6 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 1-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Skowhegan take on Cony at 7:00 PM. Brunswick will be staying on the road, facing off against Messalonskee.
