Ingalls took the matchup and then some with a 58-12 win on Friday over Chase. The success represented a nice turnaround for Ingalls, who in their last game suffered a tough 12-58 defeat.
Ingalls' offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 34 points in the first half. Chase came up with 6 to make it 34-6 heading into the break. The Ingalls defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the contest. The win got them back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped Chase's record to 0-2.
Ingalls will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Spearville. As for Chase, they will face off against Bucklin.
