Softball Recap: Parsippany Has No Trouble Against Lenape Valley

While Parsippany put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Lenape Valley. The Redhawks put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 13-0 win. The Redhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.

Georgia Kachulis made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Kachulis was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Zoie Ahn was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kayla Paluzzi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Parsippany kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Parsippany has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lenape Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Parsippany will host Villa Walsh Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lenape Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Hackettstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
