Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Fraser's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Fraser had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Royal Oak on Wednesday. The Ramblers were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Ravens. The result was nothing new for the Ramblers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Fraser got a great performance from Camilla Dawood as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. Dawood has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison MacLeod, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Peyton Mckernan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases.

Fraser is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Royal Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12-2.

Fraser and Royal Oak are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Ramblers will challenge Renaissance on Saturday. As for Royal Oak, they will face off against Utica Ford on Saturday.
