Football Recap: Bayard Rustin Piles Up the Points Against Kennett

Bayard Rustin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Kennett Blue Demons, posting a 42-7 win. The Golden Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Will Garner was his usual excellent self, rushing for 275 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Garner was just one part of a punishing run game: Bayard Rustin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 340 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Bayard Rustin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games. As for Kennett, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Bayard Rustin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-13 defeat against Chester on the 15th. Kennett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
