The Quaboag Regional Cougars were the 52-32 winner over the Douglas Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Quaboag Regional took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. It was the first time this season that Quaboag Regional let down their fans at home.
Colton Howard was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points for Douglas. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Howard has scored all season. Owen Gray was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Quaboag Regional has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Douglas, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quaboag Regional will take on the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Ware has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 265 points over their last four matches. As for Douglas, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Blackstone-Millville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
