After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manchester, the Bluffton Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over Northfield. This was payback for Bluffton, who suffered a 48-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Northfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Baer, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was carter rodgers, who scored 14 points.
Bluffton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Northfield, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will square off against Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northfield is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Maconaquah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matches -- so hopefully Northfield likes a good challenge.
