Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pineapple Cove Classical Academy walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Patriots 60-28 on the road. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy pushed the score to 50-19 by the end of the third, a deficit Master's Academy had no chance of recovering from.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Barna, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and four blocks. Brendan Whitney was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Meanwhile, Morningside Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Merritt Island Christian by a score of 43-41.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Morningside Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.
