The Hendrick Hudson Sailors took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They really took it to Briarcliff for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-36 victory at home. With Hendrick Hudson ahead 38-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Kaitlyn Raguso, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Pearson, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hendrick Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Briarcliff, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hendrick Hudson will face off against Ossining at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Briarcliff, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Hendrick Hudson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
