It's playoff time, and Draughn had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Union Academy Cardinals on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Draughn was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0.
Bailey Mozeley paced Draughn's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mozeley got some help from Shelby Proffitt and her 24 assists. Macy Auton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Draughn's record now sits at 23-5. As for Union Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 21-6 record.
Looking ahead, Draughn will take on Pine Lake Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
