Make it six blowout wins for the Douglass Hurricanes this season. They blew past Davis Aerospace Tech, posting a 65-28 win on the road. Given Douglass' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Davis Aerospace Tech is ranked 585th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Davis Aerospace Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jontae Brooks, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Myron Dean, who scored ten points.
The win (which was Douglass' fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Davis Aerospace Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglass will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 331 points over their last five matchups. As for Davis Aerospace Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Cody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
