Lorena had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Jarrell on Tuesday. The Leopards were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Lorena never let Jarrell on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Lorena's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Jarrell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Lorena will challenge North Central Texas Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Jarrell and Lago Vista will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
