The West Lowndes Panthers''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Smithville by a score of 38-26. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for West Lowndes' 12-point performance the matchup before.
Smithville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carson Spann, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and Barker O'Brian who picked up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Spann was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
West Lowndes' win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Smithville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lowndes will face off against Myrtle at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Smithville, they will head out on the road to face off against Falkner at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
