If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Palisades. On Friday they will take on University at 7:00 PM. Palisades will be strutting in after a win while University will be stumbling in from a loss.
Palisades were able to grind out a solid victory over Venice last Saturday, winning 24-17. Palisades' success was spearheaded by the efforts of sophomore Forrest Brock, who passed for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns, and junior Max Palees, who rushed for 121 yards and 1 touchdown. That makes it three straight good games in a row from Brock.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-42, which was the final score in University's tilt against Venice two weeks ago. This makes it the second defeat in a row for University.
Palisades took their contest against University the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 36-8 score. Will Palisades repeat their success, or does University have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
