Ava Kingery was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals for Portage. That's the first time this season that Kingery pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Garza, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

As for Portage, they will head out on the road to take on Merrillville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Merrillville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
