The Central Cabarrus Vikings put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 111-37 victory over East Rowan at home. Central Cabarrus has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Josh Dalton, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Desmond Kent Jr. was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
East Rowan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Lino, who scored five points.
Central Cabarrus' victory was their 25th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 90.9 points per game. As for East Rowan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Central Cabarrus will head out on the road to take on South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Rowan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for East Rowan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Braylon Irelan and Drake Jones.
