The Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Kingwood Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Saturday, Strake Jesuit took a serious blow against St. Mary's, falling 78-47. While losing is never fun, Strake Jesuit can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 320th in Texas, while St. Mary's is ranked 69th in California).
Meanwhile, Kingwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 56-41 bruising from Silsbee.
Strake Jesuit has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Kingwood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
