Woodbridge scaled the state rankings by moving to 410 from 439 this week, the biggest jump in Pacific Coast. The Warriors were able to move up by losing to Corona del Mar 14-7.
The Sea Kings extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Woodbridge, 14-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for Corona del Mar.
Braden Brahs was the best wideout in the league this week as Scott Meyer's team topped Rick Gibson's team. Brahs tallied 2 receptions for 75 yards. Cole Collins helped Corona del Mar's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 31 yards.
Corona del Mar's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sea Kings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Luke Napolitano has thrown for 1,086 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Collins has 25 catches for 468 yards.
Cole Martin of the the Sea Kings is just 77 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 145 carries Martin has put up 923 yards this year.
An important game coming up in Pacific Coast this week will be when Beckman takes on Irvine. As it stands, the Patriots are in fourth, while the Vaqueros are in second.
The Trojans fell to Beckman 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wes Jordan threw for 206 yards in the loss.
