Even though the Eastern Alamance Eagles have not done well against the Williams Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Eastern Alamance strolled past Williams with points to spare, taking the game 68-52. Winning may never get old, but Eastern Alamance sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Michael Reaves, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Matthews, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Williams' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brian Williams, who scored seven points along with 17 rebounds, and Jaeden Smith who scored 14 points. Milton Turner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Eastern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Williams, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Alamance will take on Cedar Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Eastern Alamance is ranked 199th). As for Williams, they will head out on the road to square off against Western Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Alamance will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
